Chapter 2, Deciding to Help the Malus

After her first day of school, Katie drives to the Cumberland Gap. Todd the Malus meets her and tells her they need help with medallions. She is unable to see Jared but able to communicate with him.

Later David lets Katie know she needs to go to a surprise party her mom planned

Chapter 3, Why is Everyone Acting Like They Live in Disneyworld?

Katie has to endure the welcome home party and feels disconnected with everyone there. She gets an update on what everyone has been doing since she had been gone.

Chapter 4, Ben's Rejection

Katie finds herself in Ben Black's dream where it looks like he will be the next Pure Heart. Ben wants nothing to do with being a Pure Heart and is able to not be bonded with a animal spirit.

Katie and Cole test the medallion against an Enticer. Todd tells Katie what Jared has been up to.

Chapter 46 "The Other Sleeper Slaves"

Katie made arrangements with David for the Slaves to come into the Chosen world. Katie introduces the Great White Wolf to David.

Cole and Katie tried to find more room in the cave and found a whole new set of Slaves.

Chapter 47 "Everything a Setup?"

Katie runs into Lazy with the other Slaves. Lazy tells Katie that the Enticers are aware of her plans and they are no worried.

Katie finally realizes who her true adversary is.

Chapter 44 "Lazy is Gone?"

Katie gets more Sleepers to help Hank with Jared's slaves. The Sleepers realize Lazy has left the cave. They imagine the kid is already someone's dinner.

David reaches out to her and asks about the Queen of Tartarus.

Chapter 45 "Beginning to Lose Jared"

Katie and the Sleepers figure out a way to feed Jared's slaves and rotate the slaves.

Katie reaches out to Jared and he is cagey in his answers. Katie is afraid she is loosing Jared.

Chapter 42 "Changing Minds"

The Lazy kid demands to have his medallion if he doesn't get one he will tell someone outside the cave what Katie is doing.

Katie and Cole realize they no longer have hard feelings towards the Malus.

Chapter 43 "Racing the Super Malus"

The Malus offered a race against the Sleepers. Katie realized the Malus did have super speeds in the Chosen world.

Todd the Malus calls Katie his queen in front of Kat and Kluxy. This causes an argument between Kat and Katie.

Chapter 40 "Jared"

Katie tells Jared her older self was the one who advised her to not tell him her plans to go to Tartarus. She explains to Jared all of her plans to free the Sleepers and he wants to help with the Sleepers who are at the square.

Katie learns how Malus becomes so large. The Malus shows Katie the new Hoo Da Thot is Bridge and call Jared their general.
