For this series, I am reading to you the short story “Afterward” by Edith Wharton. This story was written in 1910. It was first published in the 1910 edition of The Century Magazine. It is an ironic ghost story about greed and retribution. This is my favorite so far of the ones I’ve done.
This is Chapter 2.
