It has been an incredible 24 Hours. He started with a huge crod of up to 20,000 people wanting to make Him king of Israel. They follow Him back to Capernaum where they were hoping for another free feed but what they received were words that would give them eternal life. To do that they needed to eat and drink of him. That is to believe on Him alone. They did accept Him as THE Bread of Life. They all turned away except the 12. So He asked them will you also turn away? Peter said "To whom shall we go! You have the words to Eternal life. It doesn't take a crowd to see people turn to Jesus it takes the devoted. It started with 11 as in the words of Jesus "one is a devil". I trust that as believers that Jesus is the bread of life that we can share His life within us to others.

Right through these verses today as Jesus is now speaking to the religious leaders. The crowds on the whole have gone and now there are a lot less people. Again Jesus says in verse 48 that He is the bread of life. Right through this passage we see that Jesus over and over again uses the word LIFE. In the Greek it is the word "Zoe" which means that the very life of God is present in Jesus and those that believe in Jesus will receive this "God life" within them.

The 4 questions/statements by the crowd leads to the crowd becoming annoyed at Jesus and finding His answers too hard to follow. Jesus tells them that He is the true bread from Heaven and only if they eat and drink of Him will they have eternal life. In verse 35 Jesus plainly says that He is THE Bread of life. Those that come to Jesus will never hunger and if they believe in Jesus they will never thirst.
