In A Time of Roses (1969), Finnish director Risto Jarva imagines a dystopian future set in 2012, where social control, media manipulation, and the tension between past and present collide. We explore this rare sci-fi gem, which eerily foreshadows modern-day anxieties about truth, identity, and power. Join us as we unpack the film’s unique blend of Cold War paranoia, philosophical inquiry, and its unsettling relevance in today's media landscape.
