You see Allan Lichtman insisting the Fundamentals favored the incumbent. You see Peter Turchin arguing the cycle has resolved into a Populist victory.

Both are wrong. They are trying to navigate a Digital Hurricane using a paper map.

The old models relied on three assumptions that are no longer true:

1. Shared Reality: Voters react to objective conditions (GDP, War, Scandal).

2. Labor Scarcity: Complexity requires human cooperation; therefore, the Elites eventually need the People.

3. Military Humanity: Soldiers hesitate when ordered to fire on civilians.

The Techno-Feudal Stack has deleted these assumptions.
