Throughout the month of February Pastor Drew Ingram and Dr. Matthew Daude led a class on The Problem of Evil. Matthew spoke from his experience as a professor of Philosophy of Religion about the classic theist definition of God and why that creates a problem that evil exists at all. If God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent, then how and why is there any evil at all. Matthew also shared how Leibniz addresses that question. Pastor Drew chimes in on how a Christian understanding of God further complicates the problem and previews how the Bible seeks to address this very question.
