This time of year is usually filled with pressure to set goals, define big visions, and launch into a “new year, new you” mindset. But what if January wasn’t meant for that?
In this episode, I explore the idea that the first month of the year can be something different... a season for slowing down, reflecting, and letting the dust of the past year settle. Instead of forcing clarity or productivity, we can allow ourselves space to hibernate a little, reconnect with what matters, and listen for what’s actually emerging.
Nature doesn’t bloom in January. It rests, regenerates, and prepares quietly beneath the surface. Maybe we’re allowed to do the same.
If the pressure of goal-setting has ever felt overwhelming or premature, this conversation offers a gentler approach to beginning the year — one that honours rhythm, reflection, and starting fresh when the energy of spring naturally arrives.
