To make Irish soda bread, follow this simple recipe:

1. Ingredients:

• 4 cups all-purpose flour Marie used KAMUT FLOUR - plus added chopped dried figs, dried dates and dried apricots.
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 3/4 cups buttermilk

1. Instructions:

• Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

• In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk.

• Stir with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute.

• Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Cut a deep cross into the top of the loaf.

• Bake for 30-35 minutes until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

  Enjoy your homemade Irish soda bread! For variations, you can add raisins or caraway seeds for extra flavor.

Today the girls start with a sank you. Ginger has been under the weather with a cold again and was able to still get her hair done and wear a mask and not spread the germs. Thank you Wendi!
