Description
At 18 Emerson Rosberg was poised to become an Olympic skiing sensation. Growing up in the Adirondack ski town of Lake Henry with a world-renowned ski champion for a father gave her an edge over the competition...until the day she let her ego get the better of her and made a devastating mistake that would cost her any future in the sport. Deciding the only way to heal her shattered dreams was to run as far away from Lake Henry as possible, she settled in Los Angeles, leaving all memories of her previous life far behind.
When her mother dies suddenly, Emerson is forced back to Lake Henry to take care of things, including the sale of The Lakeshore Inn. Her plan to get in and get out of that miserable town as quickly as possible is brought to a screeching halt when Cassie Prescott, the bubbly, friendly owner of a local sporting goods store, gets in the way. Cassie's still cleaning up the debris from her last relationship, but she's instantly drawn to Emerson despite warnings from friends and family alike.
As the cold weather closes in, and Emerson and Cassie's relationship heats up, one question keeps popping up for Emerson: Can you really go home again?

I’m not sure about this one
I don’t know where to begin honestly, so I’ll just start with the good stuff.
I liked how the setting was written, the story was well described and the personalities of different characters was skillfully written so each one was unique and memorable.
The narration was top notch, I’m always apprehensive when I listen to a new narrator but Brittany Pressley really surprised me, in a good way. She expressed many ranges of emotions and was able to do male and female voices with differentiating frequencies, tones and personalities.
That being said, what I don’t like slightly outweighs what I do like.
First off the characters: one consciously makes stupid decisions and the other is stupid and selfish. The way their relationship progressed didn’t make me feel like they really went past anything besides friends, it was just that they found each other attractive and I just feel like that’s a cheap way to get a “I love you.”
Secondly, the undercurrent of adultery is always in the background of this book, when it is resolved I just wanted to fling my phone across the room, because the 2 men involved are the most unrealistic, sensible, caring, loving, no doubt about it type of character ever. The message it presents is this: even though adultery is not ok, as long as you be honest in the end everyone will understand and be ok with it.
And finally how the story ends, this story is resolved abruptly when one of the MCs gets an epiphany and then realizes she actually has feelings. I found myself rolling my eyes at how forced the whole situation was and with how abruptly the book ended, it needed an epilogue.
Would I recommend this book?
Sure, I enjoyed the narration and I found the beginning of the book strong and interesting. I just didn’t like certain themes and character developments.
Why did I rate the story so low?
Because... the main characters are annoying and they behaved like 16 year olds, the adultery thing was handled unrealistically and it ticked me off how the book ended: it was forced and abrupt.

First time
This was my first audiobook. I've always been hesitant to try one. I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be listening to more. I always enjoy books by Georgia Beers. She's one of my favorite authors.

Not my favorite GB novel...not even close
This story was just meh. No character development, nothing exciting or out of the ordinary story-wise, not even a decent “slow burn” romantic build up. Narrator was okay. Not good, not bad, just okay. One of the MC’s is so cold, it’s almost hard to even like her. Glad this was an “included” listen because if I’d actually used a credit for it, I would have been a bit miffed. Georgia Beers has much better titles out there. Pass on this one.

Georgia Beers is a Great Author !!!
If you could sum up Zero Visibility in three words, what would they be?
Two Women Heal
What was one of the most memorable moments of Zero Visibility?
When the clouds clear, as do their minds & they kiss and the View is Incredible.
Which scene was your favorite?
When the daughter decides Not to sell the Inn (on-the-spot) at the brokerage firm & the greedy potential buyer loses it !
If you could take any character from Zero Visibility out to dinner, who would it be and why?
The sweet lady who continues to run the Inn after the owner dies. Because I admire her loyalty.
Any additional comments?
Georgia Beers ROCKS !

Sure signs of a great (audio) book
when you awake early to listen for another hand hour, when can't wait to get home from work to continue to listen, when you rather listen to an audio book than watching TV while eating dinner, when listening is so captivating you start to cry in a scene or two... you know that you've found a great book that's being narrated by an even better narrator. there aren't too many of there but one of them is Zero Visibility, preformed by Brittany Pressley. Next thing I'll look for more stories read by her. =)

Die Geschichte ist OK, aber...
Es gibt weniger langatmige Bücher von Georgia Beers. Die Geschichte wäre auch in der Hälfte der Zeit erzählt gewesen und wäre dann sicherlich unterhaltender.
