Meet Benji, Jeshiem, and Hunxie—three biracial young adults navigating a world that constantly questions their identity. Benji, the son of an Israeli Jewish mother and a black father, faces relentless prejudice from both white Jews who see him as an outsider, and the black community who views him as too different. Jeshiem, born to a black father and an Arab mother, struggles with acceptance in both cultures, constantly battling the stereotypes and biases that come from being a blend of two distinct heritages. Hunxie, with her Chinese mother and black father, endures harsh scrutiny and racism from the Chinese community that refuses to acknowledge her as one of their own.
Each character's journey of self-discovery and resilience highlights the complexities of being mixed race in a divided world. Through their struggles, triumphs, and the search for belonging, they challenge societal norms and redefine what it means to find a place where they truly belong.
