Be critical

Listeners need to fact check what they hear, less they become paranoid just to be alive in today’s society. There are a lot of bold claims in this book that one study may support, but innumerable other studies argue against (such as an outlandish correlation on autism). The book was read at a clear and concise pace that I could listen to at 2.5 times speed, which is nice. It is important to be cognizant of your diet and this book shares that importance with recipes too, but that is all the book is good for (around the last 20 minutes of the book).

Invaluable Information

Dr. Tom provides practical information for anyone who wants to improve their health. Being a seasoned health care provider, I am well-informed, and I believe Dr. Tom has done amazing research, and looks at the entire person, not just a “system”, or specialty. In our current healthcare world, the care we receive is increasingly fragmented. It is extremely important we take responsibility for our own health. Dr. Tom has given us information to educate ourselves, and possibly even prevent some life-altering autoimmune diseases from affecting our lives. I have listened to, and recommended this book to everyone I know, care about! Thanks, Dr. Tom!

Repetitive until the last three chapters.

I absolutely hate when authors say the same thing over and over, chapter after chapter. Should’ve just got to the point right away. Some very valuable information but too much fluff in the beginning.

So much Great Information!

We loved this book. I wish it was available years ago! We will be relistening and applying Dr. Tom's tips to our everyday lives! I actually bought 3 hard copies of this book and gave them away as Gifts for Christmas. That is how much I loved this book! We wanted to share the information with everyone. If I could I would buy a dozen more copies and hand them out to my loved ones. We also bought The Autoimmune fix by Dr Tom O'bryan

Per Dr. Hyman's recommendation - so far so AWESOME

very few authors are also good narrators. just sign up scott brick if you dont have a good voice. but this guy is good. doesn't condescend, sounds like someone I could listen to for hours - specifically 11 hrs and 26 mins. LMAO

good info - just 1 hour a week is TOTALLY doable! let's rock

Loved this book

I loved listening to Dr. Tom. I loved this book period! This book is so reader friendly and has so much useful information that can be incorporated into our everyday lives. I also bought the hard cover book to refer back to because I think that the resources that are made available will make a huge difference to get my health back on track.

usefull information

it has some usefull information, you have to use your own criteria to take the info you feel usefull, it has subjectivity in some subjects, and lacks of technicala support for some data shown as facts

Incredible book

I don't write many reviews but this is an exception because it's clear that this will be one of the best health books that you will have in your library. Dr. Tom explains everything very well. He also has a website at thedr.com which also has a lot of great info. Everything in this book will help you with your health journey.

Thank you so much for all this important info...

Wow, I read as lot about health and such but what a great source of so much I didn't know. I will definitely be getting several of these blood tests and rethinking my dietary intake of foods.
