Wraiths are escaping hell. Isn't that dandy? A mysterious clan of warlocks is behind it. Wraiths are the demented spirits of dead vampires. Why would anyone draw them out of vampire hell? These ghosts don't just go bump in the night. They aren't out for blood either. They're sucking souls.
Human. Vampire. It doesn't matter. They'll draw the life-force out of anything that has breath.
Nothing I've tried is working. None of my spells phase them. How can I kill these wraiths and send them back to hell? If I don't figure it out soon, they'll drain life out of every living creature on earth.
I'm Hailey Bradbury: hedge witch and vampire. My sire was staked moments after I was turned. As a youngling, the Voodoo Queen took me in. She taught me her art. I've been working with the new Mistress of the Vampire Council. She trained me in the ways of vampirism, the path of the night.
