Merritt turns to Hannah to help find her new husband’s killer before she’s railroaded into jail by the prominent politician. The novice detective goes up against a fast-moving police inquiry driven by a ruthless politician, compelling evidence that points to Merritt with no other suspects, and her developing personal relationship with Mike Gavin. As disturbing revelations about her friend unravel, Hannah is torn between advocate and investigator as her own life is put in danger.
