Alex has been an executioner for most of his adult life. He has seen hardened criminals take to his chair. He has experienced the final moments before life is drained from them, though he has never yet executed a woman.
Following the case of Sara Grainger, Alex is shocked to find that regardless of a seeming lack of evidence, the mother and father of the victim are able to buy a result. Alice, a nurse in the hospital, knows that Sara is innocent. To all intent and purposes, the accident was a quirk of fate. However, will the execution take place? Will there be a reprieve? Will justice be served?
Listeners are taken on a voyage of discovery to a place and time they may never have to experience as they follow the trial following the death of Dwayne Ward, son of millionaire Warren Ward. Follow the trial and see the outcome. Be a part of an execution, in which the players each play their parts.
