Think!

Really listen and think about the lesson in this wonderful story! Makes you realise how easy it is to be considered the outsider!

Cranky wife

Oh my! What a cranky wife! Edgar is a fantastic engineer, and like most engineers he is very involved in his work. His wife has become quite cranky about life and expresses her dissatisfaction with her husband because he doesn't fix items around the house, he just 'plays with his junk'.

Very good Twilight Zone story, just a bit depressing for a quick listen.

Missed opportunity

The setup was good but then they did nothing with it. They could have gone any number of interesting directions with the invention to give the nag her comeuppance but instead took the most obvious route.

Bigot Gets Comeuppance

A wonderful episode about a henpecked husband who accidentally transports an alien from another world to his basement. His bigoted wife wants to exploit the creature. I loved the twist ending. It was perfect.

I am writing this as I have just finished the first 7 books of the Rivers of London series back to back within a month and what a wonderful month it was.

Interesting story. Stacey Keach does great narrative. Not seen on the TV series at all.

Good idea for a story. So so execution.

Good idea for a story. Pretty fun (if a bit goofy) dramatization. The alien is the best part. He (it) is mainly what makes this a recommended listen. The geeky scientist and the nagging (and racist) wife is stereotypical in the extreme. Good sound effects as usual.

Only, just once I'd like to hear a geek / nerd part spoken with something else than a whiny voice.
