A Learning Point

A few years ago, I read the first three books in the Theodore Boone Series. I am not sure why I failed to continue reading the series; but here I am reading book number seven in the series. Grisham wrote the series for young people. I was impressed that he did not write down to the kids but instead make them reach up.

Theodore is now a fifteen-year-old eighth grader who is interested in the law. His friends seek out his opinions and his help. There is always a moral issue to the story. I think this would be a great book to read with young people as it has terrific discussion points and also teaching points. The audiobook would be excellent on a summer road trip. The book discusses how a bad decision could have serous life changing results.

The book is four hours and thirty-eight minutes. Richard Thomas does an excellent job narrating the book. Thomas is an American actor. He has won an Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. As a book narrator he has won the Earphone Award.

Are you serious?

This was the worst book I ever listened too! John Grisham has lost his mind...wow!

The story was ridiculous, there was not a moment of suspense and if I could get a refund and a check for listening to this mess I would take it in a heart beat...11 hours of my life I will never get back!

Not up to John Grisham's caliber

This read is more like "Andy Hardy Meets Gavin Newsom and Plans Reform". Most disappointing.

Save your rant for the editorial page

I understand that there are issues with the bail system in this country, but please don't disguise your editorial opinion as a 4 and a half hour novel. Not much story and a whole lot of bluster about the failings of the system. Maybe all the truly great lawyers and reformers are busy writing books?

Lovely series....

No struggles to listen to Richard Thomas. I loved this series and it will make a great gift for young or old. The characters were well written but it was J. G. who is a favorite, so I expected as much. Looking forward to the next book. SLKW
