Very, VERY abridged!
This book - in it's original book form - is awesome! But this version is highly abridged... SOOooo much that it loses all believability, since all of the background, many supporting details, references, images, and MUCH more has been left out. I would say this is a VERY bare-bones and meat-less version of the book, which is really a shame, because it may be the only time some people ever read/listen to a Sitchin book, (or any of the Annunaki story), and they are NOT getting a good representation of just how much study and scholarly work went into them. For the original book, I would rate it 5 stars. For this VERY abridged recording, 1 star. It could have been so much better if it hadn't been so severely abridged. I think you're better off skipping this version, and getting the real book instead.

abridged version
would have been better if this was the whole book. It barely skims the surface...

Excellent
I wish audible would add more of his books for download. I want to hear more!! This was his first book of "The Earth Chronicles." I thought this book was sensational and exciting.

Profound !!!
Sitchin boldly takes on the challenge of finding harmony within the body of apparently contradictory knowledge amassed as a result of man's search for answers in the ground below him (archeology), the sky above him (astronomy), and the spirit within him (theology).
Sitchin meticulously synthesizes the existing knowledge from these three fields of study to create a compelling case for the origins of mankind. His argument would be ludicrous were it not for the fact that it manages to unravel some of the most inexplicable mysteries within each field, and does so in a manner that not only removes the conflicting truths between the fields, but actually shows for the first time that these fields of study mutually corroborate and reinforce each other's truths... when veiwed through the visor of the truth that Sitchin unveils.
Hold on to your seat, let go of your fears, and enjoy the ride. Depending on where you are in your search for answers, it could be one of the most important journeys you'll ever take.

Interesting, But . . .
Sitchin presents some very interesting ideas, but he passes off his personal assumptions as well-researched facts. I have read at least 6 of Sitchin's books, BUT BE AWARE that other scholars in this field don't necessarily agree with his translations and interpretations.

Very Interesting
I enjoyed this book a great deal, I hope that audible has more of Zecharia Sitchin's books available in the future.

Interesting but Empty
I'm somewhat interested in this sort of thing but although he does a fairly decent job of uncovering history and giving an arguement for his ideas, there is very little 'evidence' given as to the planet itself.
Saying something exists based on ancient writings is one thing, but he didn't even mention a timetable of when we should expect it.
This reduces credibility. Everybody is saying 2012 but they said earlier dates too.
I liked the historical facts, but he reads a LOT into some of those facts and draws a lot of assumptions, which are mixed in with the actual facts, making it difficult to tell what is fact and what is Sitchin.

Thought Provoking
This book is both a scholarly work layering myth and religion with scientific information. It sounds perfectly logical and fascinating. Why not? After all, who alive can witness to the contrary? I enjoyed this book tremendously and hope Audible will bring forth more of Zecharia's books.

Great read for an open and inquiring mind.
If you you have a thirst for knowledge and an open mind, you will most likely find this book very intriguing and thought provoking. It presents a theory that only a very open minded person could accept. But be prepared, because when you tell people about this book they will probably laugh and tell you you're crazy.

Unique ideas.
Very interesting. I can't say I agree with the theories set forth but I enjoyed the book quite a bit.
