À propos de cette écoute

Brought to you by Penguin.

Have you ever imagined running away from your life?

Well Birdy Finch didn't just imagine it. She did it. Which might've been an error. And the life she's run into? Her best friend, Heather's.

The only problem is, she hasn't told Heather. Actually there are a few other problems.

Can Birdy carry off a summer at a luxury Scottish hotel pretending to be her best friend (who incidentally is a world-class wine expert)?

And can she stop herself from falling for the first man she's ever actually liked (but who thinks she's someone else)?

If you're looking to replace that Fleabag- or Bridesmaids-sized hole in your life, look no further: Birdy Finch is here. A snort-out-loud rom-com with a heart of gold, The Summer Job is the debut to lose yourself in this year.

Good God this book made me want to drink wine, eat good food and go back to Scotland !!!
Sweet and funny read, perfect for the summer months. A story about finding your place, your people, your way….basically, where you belong.
The narrator was really good. She was fun to listen to and her reading was on point.
It probably won’t be the most memorable read of the year but it’s definitely a book I enjoyed and would be glad to read again someday.

    The perfect summer listen
