    I’ve only watched the TV show so far, which can only cover a fraction of the book’s contents. As I haven’t read the Outlander novels yet, I’m enjoying getting to know more about some side characters before diving into the full world created by Diana Gabaldon. I recommend this novella which gives more depth to Joan and Michael who in the show appear as rather uninteresting.

    The novellas are great to get more back stories
