Jack Mac Paidin, now a teenager, is on a mission to another world to rescue his older brother, Ethan, from the clutches of their evil grandmother Valdis, a demon queen from a realm known as Blarjord.

Unbeknownst to Jack, Ethan is on a quest to complete three rituals that will transform him into a full-fledged demon. Once complete, there is no going back, and Jack's brother will forever become heir to Valdis' kingdom of darkness.

Training as Queen Valdis's Dragon Master, Ethan is destined to lead her army in an invasion of Mac Paidin Manor, and planet Earth as a whole. And Ethan is just aching to teach his little brother who's the boss.

But Jack's powers are growing as he is exposed to the evil influences within the walls of The Dod, Queen Valdis' impenetrable mountain fortress. Will he resist the allure of the dark forces surrounding him? Or will he succumb, just as his brother has?

Back in Ireland, at Mac Paidin Manor, Sir Edward and Arthur the butler discover that Jack and Bart are missing and hatch a plan to rescue them. As Valdis' granddaughter, and a native of Blarjord, Lady Lydia knows that other world very well. And there is no way she and their friends will let Jack and Bart face the blood-sucking vampires, evil magic workers, dragons, and orcs on their own.

But this trip is a risky one, fraught with peril. It's going to take strategy, magic, luck, and the love of old and new friends to save the boys and return home in safety.
