Detective Jonathan O'Rourke hates his implant but has to rely on it every day. After a vicious attack while on duty, he lost his left eye and his partner and friend. As a result he was gifted with a supercomputer replacement that allows him to have a head start on any criminal he chases. The pharmaceutical miracle known affectionately as Rez made it possible. What else could Rez be making possible? The world has changed, and illness has all but been irradicated due to the Rez, but could there be side effects no one has ever dreamed of? Jonathan finds himself on a collision course to find out and comes face to face with a ghost from his past.
