When some of Ernest Hemingway's long-lost manuscripts fall into the hands of a disillusioned Hemingway scholar, he gets a lesson in the fleeting nature of passion in this award-winning short story.
Inspired by the true story Hemingway related in his memoir, A Moveable Feast, of his early stories lost by his wife, Hadley, somewhere in France, this story explores the nature of the things we can hold on to, and those very precious things that always seem to slip through our fingers.
