Description
Transforming into a monstrous dungeon couldn’t be all that bad, right?
Dolli had a very hands-off approach to ruling her once booming village. She preferred to use her alchemical skills to brew a nice cup of tea and keep whiny petitioners off her lawn with Wendigo repellant. But she pays the price for her apathy when her neglected village transforms into a Dungeon, making it fair game for any Hero with a lust for loot.
It doesn't take long for one such Hero from Dolli’s dark past, Keegan Plague Ender, to arrive with his sword ready to be bloodied. The villagers are evolving into powerful Dungeon denizens who can respawn if they're killed—or they could if a mated pair of wyverns hadn't turned the seat of the dungeon core into a brood nest. Now, with one swipe of the Hero's blade, the former townsfolk could be lost to the Lifestream forever.
Despite her curmudgeonly nature, Dolli can't let that happen. Can she rebuild the confidence of her people to roust the wyverns and reinstate respawns? Even if she can, will the young Dungeon hold out against the storm of raiding Heroes?

Good, could be better
Overall, it wasn't bad. The characters had a good variation and the story was good, but had some gaps that could have made it better. I honestly couldn't figure out the part about the supplies documents for the special sound and never used it.
Narration did a good job though the way there was a pause and somewhat unnatural reading of spells/abilities kinda broke immersion.

Not sure What I expected..In the End, Decent Story
I’m not sure what I expected from this book, but overall the story premise was a good one. The story plotted along at a steady pace with some combat and arch nemesis being plated up regularly (actually the whole point).
This book is sort of the anti-hero, hero story, where One is cheering for the ‘monsters’ who are the Hero’s, and where the Hero’s are the Monsters…

What a treat
I was pleasantly impressed. This genres is still budding and it’s very nice to see writers apply multifaceted styles of view points. Please keep writing. -R

Very well done
Only issue I have is with the amount of time. I would love to have at least 10 hours per book or more, great story line and characters!!!

Short and sweet
At under 4 hrs its half of what I usually think of as a minimum length to bother with. This is a series of 3 short books so I figured together they’d accumulate to a nice novel length. Plus, all three were included in my membership so no downside.
It was an interesting take on the NPC role in a “game” world and I had fun listening to the story.
It was refreshing to have a UK accent as well.
No real issues with the story, just minor things not worth mentioning but not quite 5 stars for me. A strong 4 stars though for the type, genre and style.

Judy Lee did you a disservice
Bad narration can really diminish the value of a book and this is very clear with all three of the book Judy did for J. D. Astra. Even though these were free, they didn't entice me to spend money to see where the story goes.

nothing has a reason
the story continualy alludes to some past tragedy for why the mc is angsty and other hate her but wont actually go into detail.
rule of thumb when writing is if your character are saying "remember the time this awesome rhing happend" and your story doesnt have 3 things more awesome, then you should be writing about whatever you character was remembering.
