In 1906, at the age of 24, with only an eighth-grade education, Charley Hatfield discovered a way to make it rain. By mixing toxic chemicals in tall towers he could literally create the atmosphere to bring rain. He spent his lifetime fighting the naysayers, trying to convince government officials, and holding off high power corporations as he brought the rains more than 500 times throughout his life; and he never failed once. Based on the journals of Charley Hatfield and the family member who remembered him so well, The Rainmaker Chronicles takes you on a journey that will haunt you for the rest of your life. Every time you hear of drought or famine, or stand outside in a steady rain, you will think of Charley Hatfield and wonder if he is working his magic formula in the surrounding hills.
