G. K. Chesterton
This is a story from the The Innocence of Father Brown collection.
Father Brown is an eccentric priest with his own particular ways of dealing with crime. David Timson, having completed the whole of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes canon, a remarkable achievement, turns his hand to the genial but certainly not innocent priest! This collection contains a group of stories from the Innocence of Father Brown, told unabridged.

A crime is averted; a soul is saved.
G. K. Chesterton’s ageless and uniquely intuitive Father Brown - whose moral sense, particular genius, and compassion are all elements found in the tone of BBC radio drama stalwart and award-winning audiobook director David Timson - solves a robbery at the exclusive Vernon Hotel during the annual dinner of "The 12 True Fishermen" Club. Provocative and witty, Father Brown is the prototype of the intuitive amateur sleuth so beloved in today’s mystery cozies. This performance is a selection from The Innocence of Father Brown, Vol. 1 audio production.
