    The main message of the book is nice, and for the first few stories quite enjoyable. But then it keeps.repeating and often frankly exagerating (''the knitting kept Alaskan society together''?!). Also, knitting personnal story into the overall story is great, that is one very bitter woman over a loss that she fails to put into perspective. I mean, having to sell her 2 great houses and then jetting around the world, and she compares that to the hardship of.nomadic Mongolians for.exemple ... leaves a bitter taste to the reader/listener. PS Weren't poppies the remebrance of WW1 first?!
