Description
Have you held dreams of success and happiness that you’ve failed to fulfill? Do you sometimes feel that, however much you’ve done, you are still, in part, an underachiever? If so, there is good news. Your past failures have no bearing on your future. And if you can change the way you approach your work, you can change the way you live.
In The Pledge, best-selling author Michael Masterson teaches you how to reinvent your life by putting together a personal master plan. It’s a formal contract between the person you are today (fed up with the problems and lack of success you’ve been having) and the person you have decided to be (the successful you who is healthy, wealthy, happy, and wise). Masterson’s unique approach to creating a master plan will change your life immediately and forever. It is based on the best principles of the great personal productivity masters (such as Dale Carnegie and Stephen Covey) and on discoveries he made during his climb from indebtedness to multimillionaire status. The Pledge is not a book on goal setting. It is a blueprint for fundamental change. Once you have experienced even one day of Michael’s revolutionary system, you’ll be hooked for life.Through his writing and personal coaching, Masterson has changed the lives of countless people. His office walls are covered with personal letters from people from all over the world who credit him with transforming their lives. Now it’s your turn. Once you set up your personal master plan, your effort will be minimal. You will start to see results immediately. You will have more money, more success, and more time to do the things you love.

Need a different Narrarator
Did Erik Synnestvedt do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Had a difficult time getting through this book because of the narrarator. His voice was robotic and non expressive.

Great book - terrible narrator.
How could the performance have been better?
I don't like to be negative or critical, but the narrator needs to find a different career. I often see reviews of audiobooks talking about how difficult it was to concentrate on the material of the book because of the narrator, and now I know what they mean. His tone changes at the end of each sentence and the way he speeds up the pronunciation of the last word of each sentence makes it nearly impossible to pay attention to what he's actually saying.
Any additional comments?
Great info. I love the message!! Exact "master plan" for success... if you put in the work and actually do what needs to be done.

Very Good Listen, and use of time...
Would you consider the audio edition of The Pledge to be better than the print version?
I've got the print as well as audio versions of this book, and have listened entirely to the audio version, but have not read much of the hardcover. I expect that having both editions is the best choice with this one, as there are a number of forms, things to write, etc. and having the written could assist with that.
Who was your favorite character and why?
This was a book by Michael Masterson, basically about himself in first person, or self help type material.
Which character – as performed by Erik Synnestvedt – was your favorite?
Only one character in the book...
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
It's very difficult to pick one idea from this book. It's quite literally packed with ideas, and ways to improve your life or yourself.
Any additional comments?
Listen to this book multiple times, and get the hardcover as well.

I couldn't finish listening because the narration drove me crazy. I can't comment on the content.

A must read /listen
Excellent book that gives a blueprint to get more out of your life.
Loved the way Michael Masterson (Mark Ford) kept things real and slapped down the airy fairy theories spouted by personal development guru's
