See the world through the eyes of Chris, a kindergartener, as he deals with the inner struggles of growing up during the breakup of his parents. Chris wants to please everyone and begins to see a new world within his world. Trying to please his mom and dad, he subconsciously transfers his emotions onto his pencil and crayon. Fearing that he has to choose, his teacher helps him discover that he needs both.
Pencils and crayons are both essential, and there are many benefits and circumstances for when you need them. Regardless of whether there is a pencil or a crayon in your life, one can make the most out of any situation when one learns to appreciate the uniqueness of any situation, regardless of circumstance. Art comes from being creative and creating out of the materials you have. Families structures are different and unique in the same way as art is different and unique.
