For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight - or the headlines. Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past, just one step ahead of the doubts and insecurities that defined her childhood. Inside Out is a story of survival, success, and surrender - a wrenchingly honest portrayal of one woman’s at once ordinary and iconic life.

Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things - a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

Description
Cameron Diaz follows up her number-one New York Times best seller, The Body Book, with a personal, practical, and authoritative guide that examines the art and science of growing older and offers concrete steps women can take to create abundant health and resilience as they age.
Cameron Diaz wrote The Body Book to help educate young women about how their bodies function, empowering them to make better-informed choices about their health and encouraging them to look beyond the latest health trends to understand their bodies at the cellular level. She interviewed doctors, scientists, nutritionists, and a host of other experts and shared what she'd learned - and what she wished she'd known 20 years earlier.
Now Cameron continues the journey she began, opening a conversation with her peers on an essential topic that for too long has been taboo in our society: the aging female body. In The Longevity Book, she shares the latest scientific research on how and why we age, synthesizing insights from top medical experts with her own thoughts, opinions, and experiences.
The Longevity Book explores what history, biology, neuroscience, and the women's health movement can teach us about maintaining optimal health as we transition from our 30s to midlife. From understanding how growing older impacts various bodily systems to the biological differences in the way aging affects men and women; the latest science on telomeres and slowing the rate of cognitive decline; how meditation heals us; and why love, friendship, and laughter matter for health, The Longevity Book offers an all-encompassing, holistic look at how the female body ages - and what we can all do to age better.
Without sugarcoating the hard facts - a 60-year-old body is different from a 35-five-year-old body no matter how much yoga you do - or romanticizing the upside - wisdom comes with age, if you live your life wisely - Cameron offers women a compassionate, informative, and intimate tour through the next stage of life.

Boring. Nothing new here<br />
Cameron's first book was better. This one lists a bunch of diseases & studies....to sum it up.. stop smoking, workout, meditate, sleep 7 hours a day, love & stress less, 15 min of Sun a day, go to your doctor's checkups, do mental exercises and eat a Mediterranean Diet. 😊

I Can't Get Through This!
This book is a combination of Health and Well Being 101 and a Harvard Medical School course. After several tries, I am officially quitting this book. I just can't get through it. It is both interesting and dry, elementary and complex. I think old advice to eat well, exercise, get your rest and be positive (along with inheriting good genes) still stands.

Grade School Biology Class Refresher
What would have made The Longevity Book better?
I felt like I was listening to a book that was written for a reader with an 8th grade education - possibly 6th grade. The advice in this book wasn't unique and there was too much time spent on explaining biology. This book is more for someone that has no base knowledge in nutrition and wellness.
Has The Longevity Book turned you off from other books in this genre?
This book made me appreciate better the information and style in books authored by Joel Fuhrman or Dr. Perlmutter, for example.
Did Cameron Diaz and Sandy Rustin do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The reader did a good job
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Personal testimonies from Ms. Diaz were the most interesting part

A wake up call, invite anyone to read this .
Easy read... her intention is to help many women who read this Book.
while I am a health care professional & should know all of this information.
I ignored that I do not apply this knowledge to myself.
I took no interest in age related health.
I have had a paradime shift , now planing on following books advise on growing old and staying strong.
loved book

Very dissappointed
What disappointed you about The Longevity Book?
1)..This book is for/about WOMEN. This is not a unisex book. Very misleading.
2)..Cameron only narrates the Introduction. That's it.
What didn’t you like about Cameron Diaz and Sandy Rustin ’s performance?
Cameron only narrates the Introduction. That's it.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Maybe for "women", but not for men. This book title and description was misleading. It might *could* have been a decent book for both sexes, but it's not. The books description should have been more clear.

Change of mind set
Great book for someone like me who is just about to turn 40. Being a mother and an executive at my company I have not been paying attention to my health as well as I should be. This book made me think more about My biological and emotional health instead of always looking at the appearance

Cameron, etal, have done a magnificent job again!
I expect I will re-listen to this book, as I have listened to The Body Book, many, many times. So well written, so organized and informative; I'm a veterinarian and this book refreshed my memory about how our bodies work on so many levels.
