The year is 2020, the date, February 28, and the new virus that was spreading across the world had hit our shores. By March 1, the virus had reached all parts of the country. On the evening of Friday, March 20, Boris requested the closure of pubs, restaurants, entertainment venues etc., and so, what we all came to know as - lockdown, had begun. Monday, March 23, Boris announced that measures to mitigate the virus were to be tightened further in order to protect the NHS, with wide-ranging restrictions made on freedom of movement, enforced by law, for a "stay at home" period which would last for at least three weeks.

It was now the morning of Saturday, March 21 in a sleepy little village somewhere between up Town and Elsewhere, a big dog called Spencer and a small dog called Ada had a meet-up with other animals from the household for an urgent Board meeting to discuss this new lockdown malarkey and how this situation was going to have an impact on their lives. As this could be somewhat of a serious issue, they asked the chap who carried out their daily food-run, when he remembered, to Chair this newly formed Board meeting. The new Chair agreed, as long as whatever they did didn’t interfere with his crispy dry time.
