A beautiful, wealthy heiress finds herself daydreaming of meeting her prince charming. One day, there is a knock on the door of her lonely mansion - a gentleman caller at long last.
She loves to play hostess; she is very old-fashioned in her tastes, serving sherry and cookies as her parents had. The handsome young man seems to enjoy them very much and gets quite tipsy. He is always intoxicated by the diamonds she wears.
The afternoon passes as she shares tales of her family’s tragic history that left her orphaned at a young age.
Dan Stevens came calling with opportunity in mind. The jewels and her seeming vulnerability are opening new possibilities.
Lisa Manering has always taken care of herself. Will his good looks cause her to let her guard down? Or is he the one who should be careful?
