Description

His name is Tom Booker. His voice can calm wild horses. His touch can heal broken spirits. And Annie Graves has traveled across a continent to the Booker ranch in Montana, desperate to heal her injured daughter, the girl's savage horse, and her own wounded heart. She comes for hope. She comes for her child. And beneath the wide Montana sky, she comes to him for what no one else can give her: a reason to believe...

Hard to hear because of annoying music.

I've seen the movie so I can assume the story was great, but I couldn't get past the first 15 minutes because of the annoying music. bad purchase.

Great Book

The music was very distracting 😞 but overall a good performance. I love this story and also the subject matter.

Peter Coyote is My Favorite Narrator!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Horse Whisperer to be better than the print version?

Unfortunately, as much as I like Peter Coyote's narration, the music was awful. It was distracting and often made it difficult to hear the narration. What are they thinking?!? When I need an audible book, my first search is for this narrator. I have also gotten some books both written and recorded by him. He is a real jewel.

Any additional comments?

I knew this was likely to be kind of smarmy but I loved it anyway. Not my usual fair but just what I needed at this time.

Excellent book!

Enjoyed everything about the book. The audio was good ,but the times that the background music played, it was hard to understand the dialogue. Music not necessary.

Horrible quality

What would have made The Horse Whisperer better?

This sounds like someone made a copy from a well worn cassette tape. You can't even tell it's Peter Coyote reading and he has such a wonderful voice to listen to. This should sound digital, and it does not.

Any additional comments?

This is one of my favorite books, and I had the recording of Peter Coyote's reading for years. I think my copy of the cassette tapes sound better than this recording.
