Following a successful afternoon at Beverley races, Jack and Cam, a pair of Malton-based apprentice jockeys, head for a big night out in Scarborough. They return to their digs confused and unable to recall much about their evening on the town. So, nothing strange there!
But within days, one has uncharacteristically sought to throw a race, and the other collides with a trainer while riding work on the Wold gallops. The racing authorities come sniffing around, sensing something is amiss. Suddenly, both their race-riding careers are in jeopardy. It couldn’t come at a worse time, as Jack has a chance of riding a hugely promising colt destined to race at Royal Ascot. And it all started with that night out on the East Coast...
