This was very, very interesting!
Any additional comments?
This book details the work of the Secret Service and what they go through to keep the President, Vice-President, former Presidents, and their families safe. It also gives very juicy insight into the personal characters of those the SS are charged to protect. Which of the POTUS/FLOTUS or VP's were/are kind and considerate, people of good character? And which ones were/are insufferable, rude, selfish, vulgar, etc.? The answers WILL surprise you!

Secret Service
Where does The First Family Detail rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It was interesting but most of it was repetitive. Some of the new information was good and the book was interesting but most of it was the same as In The Presidents Secret Service. It was like listening to the same book again.
What did you like best about this story?
The new information not in The Presidents Secret Service.
What about Michael Bybee’s performance did you like?
He was really good. I liked him.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me wonder why a new book had the same story as the previous book. That disappointed me, I expected better from the author.
Any additional comments?
I'm returning it because it was pretty much the same book I already purchased.

Insightful
I love this book. it is very insightful. I think the morality ethics an overall behavior of our elected politicians should be known before we vote for them. we should vote based on the person's character and not there gender or race.

Highlights need for immediate remedial actions by relevant American Government officials to ensure the continued security and preservation of the world's most admired democracy. All concerned should read this and quickly too!

Interesting to see first families off camera
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Sure. It is quite an interesting look at how the first families behave when the camera is turned off. There are plenty of the good and bad stories about the man and his family that holds the highest office in the land.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The First Family Detail?
To learn how power hungry Hilary Clinton is and what a not-so-nice person she is to work for.
Which scene was your favorite?
I am not sure. It was amazing that Joe wants to appear like average Joe on his weekly trips to Delaware and not have the football within easy reach. A dangerous man.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No.
Any additional comments?
Besides accounts of first family life, there is a lot of information about the Secret Service itself. Due to recent events, it was an interesting book to listen to.

A Very Biased History
It’s hard to believe any of this book. Not a fan of the Clintons or Obama’s or Biden’s and not a Democrat… But even as a lifelong Republican, I find it odd, to say the least, that every Republican is a wonderful protectee yet every Democrat is abusive, dismissive, mean,… The author writes in such a pejorative way making assumptions outside of the anonymous quoted material. He constantly repeats the negative stories about the Democratic protectees, over and over again - and negative stories are all he has on them. Oddly, he doesn’t say nary a word about Bill Clinton, so I guess I am to assume that maybe he was a decent protectee. Therefore, don’t include him? The only Republican he was dismissive about was Dick Cheney’s lesbian daughter…While there is some anecdotal information, this isn’t at al what I thought or wanted. Sick of the constant new cycle, wanted to escape into presidential history, but the distain of this author makes it hard to believe a word of what is said.

Lacking 9/11 and Benghazi
The story overall was good, but it didn't go into GW and 9/11. I would have thought there would have been more details about the day.
Same with Benghazi. That didn't even get a mention as well as Hillary email server. A lot of details missing.

Don't bother if you've read other Ronald Kessler books.
This book was like a kid turning in his 4th grade homework for 5th grade. It's straight up copy and pasted from "In the President's Secret Service"
I listened and enjoyed that book so I got another from the author. With a few small exceptions, they were the same book.

Boring
Mostly a collection of whines and moans about budgetary constraints for the secret service. The easiest presidents to work for are Reagan and Bush, while the most difficult are Clinton and Obama. So, it would seem one of the conclusions meant for the reader to walk away with is that elected Democrats are anti-military/secret service; while elected Republicans are typically just the opposite.
The topic of this book is a fascinating one, and one that deserves an objective take. "First Family Detail" is boring, when it's not, mean spirited.

A degrading Republican cesspool of Soap Opera gossip
Clearly written by a partisan hack. Shows disdain for our country and our Democrat Presidents. Helps you understand why the Asa's has come to such a low point. Just another step in the unfortunate unwinding of a once admired institution.
