A ravaged world’s last gasp for survival.
The year is 2038, and Cass has spent nearly half her life on The Deliverance, hurling through space some 250 miles above the Earth. Her parents and the other scientists were supposed to be everyone’s salvation, sent up to create a cure for a plague in the space station’s zero-gravity labs. But something went wrong.
After the first three years, all communication with the surface was lost when a world war broke out in response to the apocalyptic epidemic. A one-year mission already extended far beyond what was intended, the inoculation was created too late.
Now, eight years since it all started, their time has run out. In a decaying orbit, a small group of survivors is forced to the surface. Called The Fallen by those still clawing out an existence on Earth against all odds, they’re tasked with the monumental undertaking to bring their latest cure to the right people. What Cass and the others discover during their plight is a horror beyond anything they could have imagined, and it may already be too late to save what’s left of humanity.
