"The Dagger and the Flame" had potential, but it fell flat for me. The story felt too generic, relying on familiar tropes without bringing much originality. What saved the experience was the audiobook narrators—especially Freddy Carter, whose performance was the main reason I stuck with it.

Had I read a physical copy instead of listening, I would’ve rated this much lower. The narrators added life to an otherwise forgettable story.
