At Blackthorne State Psychiatric Institute, some patients claim their trauma lives inside objects.
A mirror that whispers self-hatred.
A radio that speaks in static.
A doll that refuses to stay where it’s left.
Dr. Benjamin Locke believes he has found a breakthrough treatment. By confronting these objects directly, patients can break the psychological hold their fears have over them.
And the therapy works.
Every case ends the same way: the patient improves… and the object loses its power.
But after each session, something changes in Locke.
