Stranded. Emily could no longer see the road ahead. Willing herself not to cry, she stopped the car and put it in park, leaving the engine running. Ragged breaths competed with the sound of wind pelting the vehicle with icy particles. Already, her windshield was covered, blocking out the snow-covered landscape and entombing her within the claustrophobic confines of the car. Surely, God had not brought her this far to leave her trapped in the middle of nowhere. Had she mistaken His voice for her own?
Colorado rancher, Chase Ferguson, learns his children placed a “wife wanted” ad in a local paper when his 7-year-old son announces that their “new mom” might be stuck in the snow on his mountain. Great. Just what he needed to do, rescue some foolish bimbo from the mother of all storms.
