À propos de cette écoute
"Anger may be the most common emotional experience that human beings share,” says Dr. Mark Cosgrove, in his excellent book, Counseling for Anger.
Not all of us have been clinically depressed. Most of us have not experienced anorexia. But all of us have been angry. Some of us express anger every day. Most of us, if we are completely honest, have been angry recently.
The world is full of anger. As I write these words, there is an explosion of violence everywhere–suicide bombers, shootings at schools, riots in prison yards, massacres at churches, gang retaliations, domestic violence in homes, and political hostility. The list is very long.
All of this violence is rooted in anger. People are angry. The truth is Christians are angry. There is something else that is full of anger. The Bible is full of anger. There are many angry people in the Word of God. And there is a lot of instruction in the Bible on how to deal with our anger. That is what this book is about.
We go to God’s Word and get God’s wisdom on how to deal with this powerful emotion. From the very first pages of the Bible, all the way to its end, we find instruction on anger. It is life’s most powerful emotion.
