'Feel-good...full of hope. A quirky cast of characters you can't help but root for'Woman & Home, Book of the Month
Listen to the warm, poignant and uplifting New York Times bestseller and Radio 2 Book Club pick, loved by readers.
Six strangers with one thing in common: their lives aren't always what they make them out to be.
What would happen if they told the truth instead?
Julian Jessop is tired of hiding the deep loneliness he feels. So he begins The Authenticity Project - a small green notebook containing the truth about his life.
Leaving the notebook on a table in his friendly neighbourhood café, Julian never expects Monica, the owner, to track him down after finding it. Or that she'll be inspired to write down her own story.
Little do they realize that such small acts of honesty hold the power to impact all those who discover the notebook and change their lives completely.

I just got annoyed by how the author highlights the importance of feminism (which is good!) and kept having a character reference to that, YET made that same character disparage another woman ("I guess she was never told she should only be showing legs OR cleavage, but never both" or something like that) and describes yet another one by the size of her cleavage (like a bumper truck I think) which was honestly just unnecessary...
Overall a very nice book that would recommend for some well written and well though-out "light" reading.
The narrator is exceptional and makes the book even more enjoyable.
Nice story, exceptional narrator
