Jack Perkins can both glimpse the future and travel into the past. With his incredible gifts he could have it all, but all he wants is Cadence, the girl he's about to marry. As she walks down the aisle, Jack has a disturbing vision of Cadence dying in childbirth. In a panic, he loses control of his powers, freezing time and unlocking a realm called Sylum where others of his kind have formed a society.
