    Description

Dandelion Meadows is cursed. Horrible name. Horrible luck.

At 18, she should be headed off to college, all smiles and naivety. Instead, a victim of a school shooting, she’s starting her senior year in a new city and living with her brother. Nightmares of that terrible day haunt her, affecting her daily life and the relationships around her.

Forced to meet with the school counselor, Dani finds him chipping away at the walls she’s built around herself, and even her heart. Lachlan Taylor doesn’t know what to make at first of the broken student he’s tasked with helping. She’s survived a trauma he’s not sure he can save her from, but he knows he has to try.

The more time they spend together, the more they learn about what it really means to live.

Some things are forbidden. Some things are necessary for survival. Their love is both.

    Just a really good book💕

Sweet Dandelion is so well-written. I am an educator and the main subject of this book has always been one of my greatest fears. The author does an amazing job enlightening the reader on what seems to be the survivor's guilts and struggles. The love affair that is embedded in the storyline is taboo but beautiful. Perfectly imperfect, tragic, and one you pray has a HEA. All of the characters are important to the growth of Dandelion. Her brother had my heart! He was dedicated to Dandelion. I was addicted to the story and lost some sleep trying to finish it. Can I just say that I love Ava Erickson!!!?? She is one of my favorite female narrators. She is so feminine and sultry without being too breathy and exaggerated. She does a pretty good male voice, too. This book is worth a credit easily, but I bought it. The impact of the storyline just stuck with me. Excellent read.

    Age Gap and Taboo Romance

Really enjoyed this book, worth the credit!

    Older male/younger female, teacher/student relationship.

The narrator is better than average.

taboo story that hooks yo6from the beginning

I always live a taboo story now there old enough to have a romance and you can't always help who you fall in love with even if it'shighly frown on. why I was mad that Dani never read the letter I knew it would explain everything. I also felt that the story was a little long . I also felt Dani's brother was a little too controlling.

It’s going to be hard to top this one..

LOVED this book!!! I love Ava Erickson as a narrator and thought she was perfect for narration of Dani!
Nothing felt rushed and there was a lot of substance to the story.
Will definitely listen to this one again!

    This Story....WOW

I didn't know what to expect when I read what this story was about, but it did intrigue me. You hear and see on the news relationships between an educator and student and condemn it. While although it is inappropriate on so many levels this story sheds a slightly different light on how such relationships can happen. I think that were some are of abuse, this story just didn't give me that feeling. Some may think it crazy but I actually really loved this story. It is also about the trauma of living through a school shooting. Ava Erickson is phenomenal!

    Well written, but

Needed a dual POV. Didn’t quite connect with the relationship in a meaningful way. Her journey of healing was great though. Very moving. Maybe that was the reason no dual POV?
