A terrifically tall tale, packaging the superhero action into compelling, punchy chapters that keep you reading. It's a fast, feisty read with characters that are skillfully drawn, assassinations, gunfights, physics bending motorcycle chases and a world you can't wait to hear more about.

The first 2 minutes will give you a good idea of what the book is like. Grim, violent, sometimes uncaring, and yet with a thin layer of hope under it all. It has the good old Sanderson twists and reveals, but this time they take a second role behind the slow realization of the grim reality of this world. Will make you hate superheroes, and dread the smell of garlic, 5outta5.
