When rookie MPD officer June Hall—the first hare to ever join the Megalopolis Peace Department—intercepts a distress signal in Sector 9's degraded Outer Warrens, she stumbles upon something far more sinister than a simple disappearance. Her investigation leads her to Rick Spade, a cynical coyote hacker who specializes in digital forgery and operates on the fringes. Initially at odds, they form an unlikely alliance when they discover a disturbing pattern: predators across the city are experiencing feral outbreaks, losing control and reverting to primal instincts.

As mysterious malfunctions in neural implants spread throughout the predator population, public fear grows and the Mayor pushes for extreme measures. June and Rick begin racing against time to uncover a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government—one involving a forgotten military AI called Project Dominance.
