Soprano in the Press Box is a collection of columns written by Jane Moorman during her journalism career. From the time Jane was a tomboy in a small rural Kansas town to being a community newspaper sportswriter in Texas and New Mexico, she created opportunities for girls and women to play team sports and have their accomplishment recorded in newspapers.
Follow Janes love of sports in her life that led her to being one of the first female sportswriters in Texas in the 1980s. Life before Title IX is reflected in the challenges she faced. Discover her sense of humor while revealing aspect of life through her collection of columns. Finally, listen to some of the articles she wrote as a public information specialist at New Mexico State University, while capping her 31-year writing career.
