Sonorous Conscript – The Trilogy is an ambitious and wildly creative story that merges the power of music with superhuman abilities in a near-future setting. The world-building is rich, the characters are distinct and layered, and the stakes steadily rise throughout the trilogy. The concept of musical genres as sources of power — Dubstep, Pop, Metal, Gospel, and more — is refreshingly original and provides an exciting twist to the traditional superhero/sci-fi genre.
It’s paced like a dynamic graphic novel or animated series, with an ensemble cast of young, relatable characters navigating friendship, loyalty, discovery, and danger.
The plot is complex, involving secret organizations, technological conspiracies, ethical gray areas, and a potential war between genre factions — and it all comes together in an emotionally charged final act that perfectly sets up the next volume.
