Description
"My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me. I'm in a coma. My husband doesn't love me anymore. Sometimes I lie."
Unnerving, twisted and utterly compelling, you won't be able to put this new thriller down. Set to be the most talked about book in 2017, it's perfect for fans of Behind Closed Doors, The Girl on the Train and The Widow.
Commentaires
"A gripping debut with a brilliant twist, I loved it." (BA Paris, author of Behind Closed Doors)
"For fans of twisty, dark thrillers, this is the one. Fabulously written voices and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end." (Kate Hamer, author of The Girl in the Red Coat)
"Boldly plotted, tightly knotted - a provocative true-or-false thriller that deepens and darkens to its ink-black finale. Marvellous." (AJ Finn, author of The Woman in the Window)

What a mess!
Not a big fan of “then” and “now” novels. Too many time/space jumps. Overall a big mess, could have ended better.

What happened at the end?
Just as I thought I had all the 'character' unscrambled the author mixes it all up again

twisted and really good
Stephanie Racine does a very good job and the story is slowly building up tension. Near the end I was really surprised about the twist in the story and still more at the end...was really great. The slow development of the story is worth the wait.

confusing
the story jumps a lot between the past, presence and characters, I struggled to work out, who's who, which story is getting told. besides that, it's not a bad book/story as I really wanted to get to know the end of it

confusing unfortunately, because otherwise ok
I was left with many questions. Because of confusion about actually was who. The beginning enraptured me. then I became confused until the end. I will back track with the hope to understand

Fascinating, shocking story
Gripping you in from the first chapter, "Sometimes I Lie" was an exciting story that led me to think multiple times I got the plot, just to catch me again out of the blue and turn everything upside down.
I loved the main story line of the sisters. I am usually not a big fan of switching timelines. But here it was kept simple and easy to follow.
But the side story about Edward was neglected towards the end. I would have wished for a resolution of it. I was left with too many unsatisfying questions that made me think the plot was quite unlogical sadly.

A gripping story
Such a great thrilling book from the beginning to the end! I love the voice of Stephanie Racing, she is a wounderful narrator.
