The confidence in her voice perfectly reflects the headstrong mayor as she schemes to prevent Quade from selling the local inn to developers. [Pierre] Brooks opts out of the accent, but his booming and jovial performance more than makes up for it. He excels at creating individual voices for the earnest townspeople who welcome Quade with open arms.
