À propos de ce contenu audio
From Saint Louis to Washington City to Shiloh. Here is another exciting John Henry adventure, which captures an amazing segment of American History. Those turbulent months early in the Civil War.
A brief campaign in southern Missouri is followed by a trip to Saint Louis. On the run from assassins, John Henry links up with Pinkerton agents who escort him to Washington City. While there, John Henry has a long conversation not only with President Abraham Lincoln, but also with Edwin Stanton, Gideon Welles, William Seward, and George B. McClellan.
At the Executive Mansion, John Henry meets representatives of Her Majesty’s Government. A discussion is made about whether Great Britain should be allowed to support the Confederacy.A compromise of sorts is hammered out which suggests an
Englishman get a bird’s eye view of the war, focusing on the war in the west. John Henry is happy to revisit his old comrade, Ulysses S. Grant, and joins the Brit to Bloody Shiloh.
Filled with many colorful characters, action, and dry humor, Six Months to Shiloh is a tour de force.
