Description

Book two in the Amazon best-selling Demigods of San Francisco series!

I've agreed to work for a Demigod. My job? Find the spirit of his mother and release her before his vengeful father finds out and kills us all.

Have I lost my mind?

Thankfully, I don't have to do it alone. Kieran has brought in help.

Bria Stevens is everything I'm not - magically savvy, edgy, and highly experienced. She's a Necromancer who loves to flirt with danger. With her help, I can suss out the clues surrounding the spirit of Kieran's mom, all while learning my potent and extremely terrifying magic.

But as we work deeper into magical San Francisco, we uncover a minefield waiting to explode. A small misstep will have Valens at our doors. I'm about to find out that there are far worse things than mere death.

Can't wait for more!

This series has me hooked! I love when authors find a new twist to a story with the ancient gods. The Olympian Gods are mentioned, but not in the forefront. Instead we get Demi-Gods with new takes on a world where magic is out of the bag and a mash up of awesome character - each of which I would love to see a stand alone book or series (Hint, hint)

The narration is well done. Proper inflections, accents, and voices. She's really easy to listen too.

Can't wait for more!

Love this series!

Love this series! First I read it, then I listened to it, and the narrator does a great job at all the different voices. Very easy to follow the story thanks to her different and well done voices. Looking forward to jumping into the next one.

The adventure, mischief and mayhem continues in Bo

The adventure, mischief and mayhem continues in Book 2! We are introduced a great new character, Bria who will leave you in stitches as well as getting to know the rest of the crew better. The sparks between Lexi and Keiran fly out of control and leave Lexi mindless. The creep factor is ratcheted up a few notches as well.

I loved Sin & Magic and cannot wait until the next book! That being said, I usually do not read reviews because I never agree with them but I was curious about the 3 star reviews on Sin & Magic. I was surprised to read that some people think that Lexi & Keiran are weak.

Lexi is (as are all of K.F. Breene’s female leads) a very strong woman. She does not need a man to make her stronger. Keiran does make her weak in the knees and go out of her mind with want but that is not a sign of weakness.

“…if you think I’m going to let you walk into danger all by yourself, after everything you’ve done for me and my family, you’ve got a screw loose. I’m in this now, Kieran. I might not know what the hell I’m doing, and I might not be an incredible asset like the others, but I’m really good at plucking souls out of dead bodies. And I’m excellent at banishing souls. And communicating with them. And that’s something.”

Does this really sound like a weak woman? No, it sounds like a woman who, even though she is afraid she is willing to stand up for what is right, to fight with all she has, and do whatever it takes to help the ones she cares about.

Keiran is not weak because he is thinking of the safety of Lexi and her family. He wants to keep them out of danger. He is not unsure of himself just because he thinks he may not have enough power to over throw his father in what is coming. He is being realistic.

They are both realistic and get help from their friends, drawing strength from those connections and becoming stronger. They are forming a family and creating the strongest ties through these relationships and from what book 2 shows us, they are seriously going to need all the strength they can get for what lies ahead!

Oh my Demigod

I like the characters, all of them. The kids are the most hilarious duo ever. Dont get me wrong I like Bria as well but at times I rolled my eyes at her.and how she got Lexi into so much shit by. it all worked out in the end but damn.

Demigod say what?!?

Sweet baby Jesus in a manger! It’s official, I’m team Kieran. Haha. He has moments where I think he needs to be junk punched but then he turns around and does something totally not like him and I give in and decided that’s too harsh. It’s a vicious cycle. :)

The edge of insanity the characters juggle in this edition of the story is awesome. I enjoyed meeting Bria! She’s a total badarse with an edge all her own. The fact that she doesn’t immediately kiss Kieran’s butt, also adds to her awesomeness.

The plot thinking’s and in this edition out characters find themselves in some rather shady places and situations. A few times I think my heart stopped, and possibly exploded once or twice but, I’m the end I freaking loved every word!

I was hooked after book 1 but it’s safe to say this will be a series I read over and over.
